Suresh Gopi in Raja Ravi Varma

Suresh Gopi will appear in the role of internationally famous painter Raja Ravi Varma in the film titled after the renowned artist.

The film which is scheduled to start by March will be directed by Lenin Rajendran, who is presently in the final stages of the scripting of this film. Suresh Gopi has earlier appeared as Marthanda Varma in Kulam - another historical by the same director.

Two other films are also being made on the life of Raja Ravi Varma. The first one by Sharath has already completed its shooting while the other by Shaji N Karun will start by the middle of this year. The latter focuses on the life of the painter, during his days in Maharashtra. Shaji is planning to cast Madhuri Dixit in this film.
