Come February, a host of movies are getting ready to hit the screens. With Valentine's Day round the corner and the Pongal releases completing a decent run, a section of producers and directors feel it a safe bet to have their films released in February.

Sathyaraj's much awaited Periyar, based on the life of rationalist leader E V R Periyar, Sibiraj's Lee, Vijaya T Rajendhar’s Veerasaami, Jayam Ravi starrer Deepavali, cinematographer-director Jeeva's Unnale Unnale and Gowtham Menon's Pachai Kili Muthucharam are among the films expected for a release during February.

Also the Tamil version of Mahesh Babu's Telugu hit Arjun will be released in February.

It may be recalled that last year too, February witnessed a crowded release with a dozen films hitting the screens. A real treat for film-buffs awaits this February!
