It is well aware that Prakash Raj is a versatile artiste. He had played different roles as a character artiste, villain, father, police officer, faction leader and also as an action hero and enthralled the Telugu and Tamil audiences.

Whichever character he plays, he goes into it and you can find only the character and not Prakash Raj. He earned a good name as one of the great artistes in southern India. However, he did not play any mythological character so far in his career.

Now, he had got that opportunity. He is playing the role of 'Ravana Brahma' that too in a Bollywood flick. According to reliable sources, the producer is planning to mould Ramayan on the silver screen with a whopping Rs 130 crores budget, with high technical values.

The real life couple Ajay Devagan and Kajol are playing the roles of Lord Rama and Sita in this flick, while Rekha was convinced to play the role of Kaikeyi. The work on the film would formally begin in February 2007. However, the regular shooting will take place in December 2007.
