Four films, including a dubbing film will grace the theatres today in Malluwood. The films to reach today are Pakal starring Prithviraj, Jayam by Sonu Sisupal, Shyamam by Shrivallabhan and Lakshmi starring Nayantara.

The biggest among the new releases is Pakal with Prithviraj and Jyothirmayi. The film by debutant M.A.Nishad attempts to tell a story in the backdrop of mass suicides of farmers in the hilly regions of the state. The film tries to unleash the actual reasons behind the continuing suicides.

Jayam, the latest by Sonu Sisupal, who earlier directed Vamanapuram Bus Route and Kaalachakram, is an action thriller which projects a new comer Nandan as the hero. Shyamam by Shrivallabhan with Krishna in the lead is an offbeat movie, which managed to make its release only in a very few centres in the state.

Lakshmi starring Nayantara and Venkatesh is the biggest release with 35 prints. The film which is a dubbed version of Telugu original is the film which made Nayantara a sensation in Tollywood.
