Finally it's a ray of hope for Sathurangam. The movie starring Srikanth and Sonia Agarwal was complete almost a year ago. Unfortunately due to financial constraints, it has been lying in the cans since then.

Director Karu Palaniappan had even gone ahead to complete his next film Sivapathigaram. When everyone thought that Sathurangam was all down and out, producer Oscar Ravichandran has stepped in to rescue the movie.

Impressed with the movie, he has readily agreed to distribute the film after helping it overcome all financial constraints.

With recent films like Varalaru, Ullam Ketkumae and Vettaiyadu Villayadu, though witnessing a late release, doing well at the box-office, all hopes are not lost for Sathurangam.

Srikanth plays a scribe in the movie.
