After his box office fortunes were hit in a couple of releases, he has bounced back in style.

He has asserted his supremacy at the box office. Amidst the movies released this Ramzan, Mammootty's Pothen Vava has managed to topple Mohanlal's Photographer in collection.

Just a few months ago, Mohanlal's Rasatantram managed to topple Mammootty's Bhargava Charitham Moonam Kandam amidst Onam releases.

Pothen Vava directed by Joshy featuring Mammootty, Gopika, Usha Uthup and Nedumudi Venu carry a positive review and reportedly opened well in many centres.
