Recently, Navya bagged the Best Actress award at an international film festival held in Russia recently. She won the award for her role as a television journalist in the movie titled Saira, which was screened at the festival.

The director of the film, Dr Biju collected the award on her behalf, as she was in the USA with Vineeth for a few dance programs at that time.

Being the only actress who is seen regularly in film festivals, Navya was able to release some of her off beats in theatres like this Saira which made an appearance on Onam. Her Kanne Madanguka made it to public last year and bagged a national recognition.

Meanwhile, she must be looking forward to her Tamil offbeat ventures to give another such success.

She enacts the role of a woman running a beauty parlor in the film Mayakkannadi directed by Cheran who also plays the hero.

She is also planning to release her Tamil film Aadam Koothu in which she plays a character of three stages, all by herself.

She is also appearing with a full shaven head in some of the scenes in the film, which holds much promise of appreciation for the actress.
