Dhanush's much-awaited Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram will go to floors on 31 August. The movie produced by veteran producer-director Keyar marks the debut directorial venture of choreographer Raju Sundaram.

The muhurat will be attended by the honchos of various association including Tamil film Producers Council, Theatre owners association, Directors Association and representatives from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka Film Chambers.

The movie is a remake of blockbuster Kannada movie Jogi. Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram features Meera Jasmine opposite Dhanush, while veteran actress Archana plays Dhanush's mother.

A huge invitation running to several pages with photographs of Dhanush, Archana and Meera Jasmine for the movie's muhurat has caught the attention of all.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Dhanush along with Keyar and Raju Sundaram called on Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and briefed him on the movie. Interestingly, it was Rajinikanth, who suggested his son-in-law Dhanush to try his hand at playing the lead role in the remake.

Meanwhile, Dhanush's next Thiruvilayadal is nearing completion and is expected to hit the screens soon.
