It's raining fortunes for Sathyaraj. In spite of a host of directors making a beeline to
youngsters, this veteran still has steady offers coming his way.

Currently playing the title role in his dream project on rationalist leader 'Periyar', Sathyaraj has movies including 'Kurukshetram' and 'Reel No 15' nearing completion.

Adding one more to his tally now is Gurupoojai. The movie would feature Sathyaraj in a dual role and would be directed by a debutant Meenakshi Sundaram.

Sathyaraj, who is currently engrossed with Periyar, would begin shooting for Gurupoojai as soon as Periyar is completed.

Sources close to the actor say, 'Gurupoojai is a typical Sathyaraj film with his usual wits and punch line comedies. After a serious outing in Periyar, it would be a welcome break for Sathyaraj to act in a lighter subject like Gurupoojai'.

Sathyaraj's Periyar being directed by Gnanarajasekaran is currently being shot.
