In recent days, actors knocking on the doors of Chennai Police Commissioner have been on the increase. The latest to go calling Chennai Police Commissioner is actor Vignesh.

Vignesh, who co-produced besides enacting the lead role in Aacharya, which hit the screens recently, filed a complaint against a film distributor for allegedly cheating him.

It may be recalled that one Mandhiram of Udhayam Theatres had taken the distribution of Aacharya for a sum of Rs 63 lakh.

Vignesh had stated in his complaint that the movie has successfully completed three weeks of run and the distributor had made enough money. ‘Yet he has not yet given the money which he agreed to while buying the distribution rights of Aacharya,’ Vignesh had stated in his complaint. ‘Since I borrowed money from financiers to complete the movie, I am banking on Mandhiram to pay the agreed money, he said.

Aacharya co-produced by Vignesh was directed by debutant Ravi, a one-time associate of director Bala.
