When actors and actresses queue up to take a plunge in politics, actress Mumtaj has plans otherwise. The actress says, 'Even if I am paid in crores, I have no interest to venture to politics'.

According to her, 'Films are my passion. I am here to act and entertain masses. Politics is an unknown territory, which I will never venture'.

Speaking at the muhurat of her movie Very Good in Chennai, Mumtaj, said, 'After a slump, my career is back on the right track. I play a tough cop in Very Good and the role is quite similar to Dhaya Nayak, Mumbai's popular encounter specialist. I have made all efforts to fit the role.'

Mumtaj is also acting in a few other movies including Jerry opposite Githan Ramesh in the role of an actress and as a slum girl in Vijaya T Rajendhar's Veerasami.
