Fresh from the success of her Tamil movie Dishoom, Sandhya is now shooting with Mammootty for Prajapati, being directed by Ranjith.

She says, 'For someone who grew up idolizing him, working with the award-winning actor was a dream come true. He teaches me and makes me feel comfortable on the sets,' she says.

Sandhya, whose mother tongue is Malayalam, says, 'I feel at home acting Malayalam movies'.

Asked whether she would try her luck in other south Indian languages, she says, 'Acting in a language you don't know is not much fun. When you act in an alien language, you concentrate on getting the dialogue right. Expressions come second. While acting in a familiar tongue, you understand the nuances and perform better.'
