Now cashing on this popularity, a Tamil actor is being featured in a commercial that is being canned exclusively for the Andhra audience.

The news is that Suriya, whose Ghajini did so well in Andhra, has been roped in to do an ad for Pepsi.

There is a contest riding on the ad. The contest will be run as Pepsi Thragandi Hero Avvandi.

This is a contest similar to the one that Pepsi run in Tamil for Suriya's film Aaru, which was also released in Telugu.

The winner of the contest will be given a chance to act in Suriya’s film Rangam Sidhamayindh. Gautham Menon produces and directs it.

In a sense, it is a major gamble by Pepsi as the rival Thumps Up has Chiranjeevi endorsing it.

Suriya taking on Chiru in Andhra is interesting as it was Chiru who was one of the main reasons responsible for dubbing Ghajini in Telugu.

The same Murugadoss, who directed Suriya in Ghajini, is handling Chiru's Stalin.

It is all interesting.
