Director Saran is busy giving final touches to his Idhaya Thirudan. The movie starring Jeyam Ravi and Kamna Jethmalani and produced by Saran's mentor K Balachander is expected to hit theatres on Republic Day.

Saran's floated his own production house recently and his maiden venture Aaru starring Suriya had a moderate run at the box-office.

Meanwhile Saran has begun penning the script and story for his next directorial venture which would star Silambarasan as hero.

With his movies Totti Jaya and Saravana not putting up a good show, Silambarasan is keen on working with Saran for the director has given several hits.
