It is one of the oldest temptations of any filmmaker.

Lagadapati Sridhar of Larsco entertainment, the most happening producer in the town, has fallen for it.

He has cast a hit pair together again.

When Raja and Kamalini Mukherjee were pitted together in Anand not many paid any notice. But when the film became a cult urban success, the whole industry took notice of them.

They were hot tickets on the circuit. But they went their separate ways.

Though they have played together in another film (Style), the film that Larsco’s Lagadapathi Sridhar has announced now would be a big venture together again.

Incidentally, the another film that features both Raja and Kamalini, Style, is produced by Sridhar himself.

Anyway, the new film has been titled Maa Pakkini Abbayi (Amitabh Bachchan). The quaintly named film will also have Srikanth as another hero. Of course, the spotlight would be on Raja and Kamalini.

The movie marks the debut of Veeru Potla as director. Veeru Potla, a well-known writer in MS Raju camp, was associated with blockbusters like NVNV and Varsham.

Larsco Sridhar says that the new film would have another heroine, a search for whom is already on.

The movie would start rolling in February.
