Thanks to heavy rains all over Tamil Nadu, a lull now prevails at the box office in Kollywood.

Four movies Sivakasi, Majaa, Athu Oru Kanaa Kaalam and Bambharakannaley graced the theatres on Deepavali day.

Sivakasi had a bumper opening collecting huge revenue where ever it was screened and next on the race was Vikram starrer Majaa.

Unfortunately with heavy rains lashing the State, the number of film buffs visiting theatres went down which reflected in poor collections at the box office.

But even before the rain could stop and audience come back to the theatres, films like Kasthoori Maan, Anbae Vaa and Cheran's Thavamai Thavamirundhu might release putting the Deepavali releases in a tight spot.

Welcome rains at a wrong time.
