Ben Johnson, in the world of athletics, is a disgraced name. But in the case of Kalabhavan Mani, it is the name of grace and success.

The film by that name has given a new lease of life to the big burly, swarthy actor. Now there is a new-found momentum to his career.

A slew of movies featuring him is on the anvil. After Manickyam, he has Sarathchandran Vayanad’s "Sreekandan Kuzhappakkaranalla".

Ironically, when Mani is enjoying the best bout of luck in his career, he plays the role of an unlucky man in the film. He goofs up whatever he does and he is in trouble for anything he does.

Obviously, the accent is on humor and, underlining his rising stature, there will be plenty of action, too.

This is Sarathchandran Vayanad's second movie.

Jagathy, Innocent, Cochin Haneefa, Harisree Asokan and Salim Kumar are also in the cast. A search is one for a heroine.
