I V Sasi is one director who had been a dominating persona in the Mollywood history of 1980's and 90's. He had created at least two dozen hits in these decades with heroes like Mohanlal and Mammootty. But by the start of this century his aura has faded and shortly after half a dozen back to back flops, the director was not seen in Mollywood.

But now after a 14 year gap from 'Shradhha', their last film together, Mohanlal and I V Sasi will team up for a new movie. Debutantes Prasanth and Ambadi will script the movie which will be produced by Gokulam Gopalan.

I V Sasi who had first directed Mohanlal in 'Ahimsa' (1981) had teamed up with him in many more films like 'Idanilangal', 'Adimakal Udamakal', Aalkoottathil Thaiye, Uyarangalil', Arhatha, Angadikkappurathu, 'Athirathram', 'Naanayam', Iniyengilum,'Adiyozhukkukal', 'Varnapakittu', and 'Devasuram' .
