'Bannada Chittegalu'

Bannada Chittegalu` the first joint effort of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy headed by SV Rajendra Singh Babu and Bala Bhavan headed by Bhavana is a treat for children on week end that commence from January 30, 2015.

Karnataka information minister Roshan Baig is inaugurating the event at 3.30 pm at Bal Bhavan in Cubbon Park. The week end cinema is at 3 pm and ticket price is fixed as Rs.20. The main objective of the event is to highlight films of different countries so that the children will get a chance to see other films and grow up to be a good audience for cinema.

The inaugural event will be attended by noted literary personality HS Venkateshamurthy, director of national acclaim TS Nagabharana and others.

Gandhi` of Richard Attenborough is the first film screened in this concept of Bannada Chittegalu`. 15 children films from India, Brazil, Mongolia, Zech Republic, America, Iran, Hungaru Australia and Greenland have been selected for screening at Bal Bhavan on Week End films.
