Mohanlal

Mohanlal's band 'Lalisom' is all set to perform for the national games. But the news that he has demanded a fee of 2 crores has set many tongues wagging, including those from the film fraternity, saying that its unacceptable and that its only Lalisom is only self-promotion. Adding to the woes is the news of Sachin being part of the event for free.

However Rateesh Vega who who is also a founder of Lalisom, retaliated by saying that he, Mohanlal and the band is pained at the allegations. He makes very commonsensical observations regarding this, saying that Lal does not need or require the government's money, nor has he charged such exorbitant rate, saying that he could have made more if he did a movie in the time he associates with the games.

He clarified that Lalisom is not self-promotion but a tribute to Indian cinema. The costs that the band has sought to cover from the government is for the performance with singers like Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, for their travel and accommodation. he asked why no one was talking about Lal becoming part of marathon for free, adding that Sachin agreeing to come free cannot be compared with a performance, which has a lot many expenses.
