It was a festival mood in Kempe Gowda Road the heart of prominent theatres and very close to hub of film activity rendezvous Gandhinagara.

Thanks to color version of release of Kasturi Nivasa` the olden day`s memory was brushed by many. Dr Rajakumar Kasturi Nivasa`, Dr Shivarajakumar Belli` and Puneeth Rajakumar Power` screening on the same road made a festival season for fans of Dr Rajakumar.

On Friday release day of 43 years old Kasturi Nivasa` five of the Dr Rajakumar Fans Association joined together in setting up milk abhisekha and garlanding. Rs.5 lakhs worth garland was put up for 100 feet cut out of Dr Rajakumar in front of Bhumika` theatre. It was States` theatre earlier in the first release of Kasturi Nivasa` in black and white.

On Friday it was traffic jam. Rs.20000 fireworks were displayed. There was orchestra of Dr Rajakumar songs. On Sunday the procession is starting from Banappa garden to Bhumika Theatre. On a tabloid the hut set is made – that is the last scene place of Dr Rajakumar in Kasturi Nivasa`.

Thousands of fans on both the sides of KG Road made it hectic for the flow of traffic. The garlanding of Dr Rajakumar cut out looked special.

In the recent years such a mammoth garland was not seen for a Kannada cinema. In Tamil theatre like Nataraj for Rajanikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith and Suryia new films such garlands were noticed.
