Actor Mohanlal was discharged from the Amritha Hospital, Kochi yesterday. The actor was admitted there following severe back and leg pain. The reason for the pain was diagnosed as a slight change in the disc position.

Conflicting news were doing the rounds regarding Mohanlal`s stay at the hospital. News of Mata Amrithanandhamayi visiting him was denied by the hospital authorities. Also news of conducting surgery on him to correct the damage was also rubbished.

It was explained that on the second day, it was thought that a surgery would be required. Since the pain receded considerably, surgery was avoided. Medicines, rest and relaxation has been advised. But it is reported that the ten day break at the hospital is all that Mohanlal is willing to take and that he will join a shoot in Palakkad soon.
