Young actress Oviya who has been acting in Tamil and Malayalam films so far is making her debut in Bollywood with ‘Jaat’ a revenge based Hindi film. The film is being made by a team of youngsters.

Though the Thrissur born Oviya is not so fluent with Hindi, she accepted the role because she found the script to be so unique. Oviya admits that though she can fluently read and write Hindi, she is not as much confident in speaking the language.

The ‘Kalavani’ actress revealed that she shot for a week in North India and the whole team had fun at her expense. She says she knew that everyone on the set was speaking about her in Hindi but she could not figure out what was being spoken about her.

Back in Tamil, the humorous horror film ‘Yaamirukka Bayame’ directed by debutante Deekay in which Oviya has played a glamorous role has just hit the screens yesterday (May 9). Oviya says that they shot for a month in a house and she has become friends with the team that include the film’s lead hero Kreshna and Rupa Manjari.

Dual heroine subject is not new to Oviya, since she has already shared screen space with Anjali in ‘Kalakalappu.’ The talented lass says the script matters to her rather than who is acting in a film.

Oviya’s next film in Tamil would be ‘Seeni’ directed by Raj Durai. The film is scheduled to go on floors soon.
