'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' has a good weekend

It was pretty much expected that 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' would open well with over 50% footfalls at the least. After all, there were quite a few factors going in its favor. As it happened though, such footfalls were seen but mainly at select multiplexes across the country. As a matter of fact some of the major multiplex chains saw even 70%-80% occupancies in the evening shows over the weekend. This pretty much compensated for a relatively lower opening at other properties, hence balancing the overall outcome. However, there was good growth over the weekend which further helped the film.
All of this meant that around 20 crore* came in the opening weekend which is a good result for the Saket Chowdhary directed film.
The film carries an advantage of being the sole release of the week with no competition whatsoever from past or present. However in future it would be seeing some stiff competition due to 'Gulaab Gang', 'Queen' and 'Total Siyapaa' coming together. All of this means that a bulk of moolah would have to be gained in one week flat by 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' which would still take it past the safety mark.
