Mani Ratnam was on an Instagram live chat with wife Suhasini for the first time ever and there were many unknown and interesting tidbits about the legend were revealed. One is when Suhasini pointed out that young Malayalam filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery was watching the livecast. She then told Lijo that Mani has seen his films and is full of praise for him.

Mani then spoke on the video telling him “Lijo, I’m a big fan of yours. You are probably one of the best directors today. Congrats. Keep it up". While Suhasini mentioned the young director's films "Jallikattu and 'E Ma Yau', Mani Ratnam added, that 'Angamaley Diaries' and 'Amen' too are his favorites.

Its great that the young talent has got the recognition from one of India's most celebrated directors who has been right on top for the better part of the past four decades.
