The trailer of the first-ever Malayalam web series from Disney+ Hotstar “Kerala Crime Files - Shiju Parayil Veedu Neendakara” was released to the audience. The trailer was launched by superstar Mohanlal at a grand ceremony held at the Bigg Boss season 5 venue. Aju Varghese and Lal, the lead actors in the web series, were present on the stage. The web series will start streaming on June 23 in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.

The theme of the web series is a police investigation into the murder of a sex worker. It is clear from the trailer that the police are on the lookout for Shiju, Parayil Veedu Needakara. The rest of that investigation is the web series going forward. The background music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Ashiq Aymar writes the screenplay. Cinematography is handled by Jitin Stanislaus.
