Veteran Bollywood actors Saurabh Shukla and Raghubir Yadav have begin filming for the first Hindi project of award winning Bengali filmmaker, Kaushik Ganguly. The film titled 'Manohar Pandey' went on floors today. Kaushik is known for his critically acclaimed works like Nagarkirtan, Shabdo and Apur Panchali. It is reported that actres Supriya Pathak will also be a part of the project.

Saurabh Shukla revealed, "We started the schedule with my shot at the place where the idols are being made. While I have shot for many Bollywood projects in Kolkata, it is for the first time that I am working with a Kolkata production unit. It is lovely to work with Kaushik. But sadly, I can’t reveal anything about my character other than the fact that it is an interesting role. Raghu bhai (Raghubir Yadav) is already here for the shoot while Supriya Ji will join the team after two days."

Production company Surinder Films shared the poster and announced, "We are elated to announce our first hindi venture #ManoharPandey... A film inspired by true events with an universal appeal...Shoot begins today!"
