'SRR' Remake in Kannada

Among the bizarre of films launches in Kannada filmdom with the commencement of ‘Shravana Maasa’ on Monday 12th August four films launched at different places. Puneeth Rajakumar, Prajwal, Ramesh Aravind and Ananthnag films plus ‘Chaddi Dosth’ trailer launch and on Tuesday launch of ‘Maamu Tea Stall’ keeps the industry very busy with activities.

‘SRR’ – Telugu film ‘Swami Ra Ra’ released in this year March is already brought in Kannada in Production No.1 by director HC Venugopal of ‘E Bhumi Aa Banu’ director. HPR Entertainment Limited from Hyderabad that is in to acquiring TV rights and distribution is making foray in to Kannada. Hariprasad Rao and Prasad Chaudhary were present to address the media. Chaudhary is very confident that this will be a good family entertainer.

Director Venugopal is making some nativity changes to the original film of actor Nikil Siddarth ‘Swami Ra Ra’. The idol that is stolen in Sri Ananthapadmanabha temple travel to Karnataka and it is suspected that protagonist a pick pocket is behind it. How it is restored back is the crux of the film.

I do play the pick pocket role against to my nature but it does not bring in wrong implications says Prajwal Devaraj. Nikki is in her fifth film and Ajith is her debut in Kannada. Chaitra Rai with one film in Telugu and a known face in television circle in Kannada from ‘Radha Kalyana’ is one of the trio with hero Prajwal doing pick pocket. Mithra comedy artist is another guy.

Premkumar scored music for EBAB is back with the same director and he has promised that no tune will be lifted from the original Telugu film. Chandru is writing dialogues and he makes it a point before asking that it is not a translation.
