No security for producers - Priya Hassan

Gaining good and bad experience of this tinsel town actress, producer and director Priya Hassan feels there is no security for Kannada cinema producers in the home ground.
Compared to the earlier days the investment for film making is not difficult but the marketing of it is the toughest task. Unless the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce frames rules that would not lead to competition between Kannada films the existence is difficult.
The middle order films should not face competition from Kannada films. In a week it is enough one film is released in Kannada at the present scenario. The producer of one Kannada film a week plan properly he can save the skin and escape the losses. On the other hand Priya Hassan with three films to her credit says those who comment on quality of Kannada films not see the films. Without watching the film such attributions are wrong.
The guidelines are changed and competition for Kannada films within and from outside is curtailed the chances of producer survival is good. Dr Rajakumar was telling 'Producer is Annadhatha' (producer is one who gives food). For such a person there is no support feels Priya Hassan.
Another burning issue Priya Hassan has noticed is that the female directors are not given the right priority they deserve. This is also from her experience. For 'Jambada Hudugi and Bindhaas Hudugi' for her own story even the awards and subsidy were not granted.
