The grand launch of 'Bul Bul...Mathadkilva' saw the Kanteerava studio flooded with cars of guests and at one of the Pandals erected the film was launched when crazy star V Ravichandran sounded the clap board and Kichcha Sudeep switched on the camera for the first shot captured on Darshan and Ambarish.

For the second time Darshan is acting with 220 films actor Ambarish. It is a remake of Telugu film 'Darling' released in 2010 starring Prabhas and Kajan Agarwal. In the past Darshan figured in 'Annavru' with Ambarish as father and son. The same continues in 'Bul Bul'.

The highly appreciable factor of this film is that Toogudeepa Productions is making this film and profits of this film is shared among Meena Toogudeepa Srinivas, Dinakar, director of the film MD Sridhar, Music director V Harikrishna, Cameraman AV Krishnakumar and lyricist Kaviraj. All the profit holders are not claiming any remuneration. It is a sort of committing all of them to do a good job stated Ambarish appreciating the move of challenging star Darshan.

Ambarish had the get up of his first film 'Nagarahavu' and it is in that film he chides Arathi near the college – En Bul Bul...Mathadkilva! The dialogue is kept as the title of the film and Ambarish happily agreed to act in the role of Darshan father.

Darshan happy birthday means so many good things for others. This happiness should continue and film should do well for the settlement of life of at least half a dozen technicians stated Ambarish. For a question he said it is not right to go to flashback. We should survive and enjoy what is present before our eyes he said.

Darshan calls Ambarish in real life as 'Appaji' because he is contemporary actor of his father Toogudeepa Srinivas. I am playing son to Ambarish Appaji he pointed.

The selection of heroine for Darshan has not yet been decided. Whether Kajal Agarwal would accept the invitation is not yet confirmed.

The original script of 'Darling' Telugu film has been abridged here in Kannada. A few of the characters and scenes have been chopped to suit the Kannada environ stated successful director and younger brother of Darshan – Dinakar Toogudeepa.

MD Sridhar feels his responsibility as director is tripled. Firstly he is joint producer, secondly it is Darshan film and most importantly is Ambarish the gem of Kannada cinema industry is working with him for the first time.

V Harikrishna feels this banner is home ground. The launch pad for him is from Toogudeepa Productions. Kaviraj addressing the media stated that there will be a special song for Ambarish and Darshan in the film.
