The prominent environmentalist Salumaradha Thimmakka, known for growing trees like how children are nourished and became very famous in Karnataka state, was the guest at the audio release of 'Thavarina Runa' Kannada cinema recently.

The team of 'Thavarina Runa' honored the pride of the state Salumaradha Thimakka and actress Pooja Gandhi was immensely happy in honoring the mother of thousands of trees.

Thimmakka came to the function and she was so innocent that she did not know what to say and what's the function all about. She remembered her life after marriage in her speech and said it is only when she came to know that she cannot deliver the child, she started planting saplings.

Director Ramesh Raju, producer Varadarju, music director Abhiman Roy, hero Paramesh all belong to Chickballapur taluk. Jagadish Wali is the cameraman. Krishne Gowda and Girija Lokesh are also in the cast.
