It seems the caffeine in this ‘Koffi Shop’ is in excess. Producer and director Geetha Krishna announces the date of release of Kannada film ‘Koffi Shop’ as 22nd April but it is not likely to get released. The majority of Kannada cinema opposes the attitude of Geetha Krishna. It is because the film ‘Koffi Shop’ is considered as dubbed film. The dubbing culture is not there since five decades in Karnataka. No dubbed films in television and big screen become part of rich culture and heritage of Karnataka.

Director Geetha Krishna serving caveat is trying to release the film but it is not going to happen. Karnataka cinema workers federation President Ashok is staging Dharna on Wednesday at 10 am. All the sectors of Kannada cinema industry, writers, pro Kannada Sangha, farmers are supporting it.

If Geetha Krishna is very sure that the film is not dubbed (that is banned in Kannada cinema five decades ago) why can’t he show it to the anti-dubbing committee formed.

The sources available at cinema workers federation says only three days shooting was done in Karnataka. This indicates he has gone wrong. It is time for Geetha Krishna to correct!

Even PRO DG Venkatesh after knowing that ‘Koffi Shop’ is a dubbing cinema has stopped working as public relations officer. Sri Raghavendra Chitravani has worked for nearly 1000 films in Kannada and for the first time is in quixotic situation.

How come the dubbing artists of Kannada cinema dubbed for the portions that are not shot in Kannada language is the question remains.
