‘Aptha Rakshaka’ the last and 200th film of Dr Vishnuvaradhan’s silver jubilee event was without any jubilant mood at the Kanteerava Indoor stadium on Saturday night.

The turn out was poor and most of the names found in the invitation did not turn up. It might be because Dr Bharathi Vishnuvaradhan expressed her grief on selecting 18th September the birth anniversary of Dr Vishnuvaradhan. It was mentioned to her that the event will be held either on 10th or 24th of September as 18th is very hectic day.

Producer Krishna Prajwal without consulting kept the silver jubilee event on 18th September evening and that obviously disturbed Dr Bharathi Vishnuvaradhan.

The Karnataka Chief Minister, cabinet colleagues, super stars names and attendance of Dr Rajkumar family members was mentioned in the invitation. None of them turned up. It looked as if the Artists Association boycotted the event. The best friend of Dr Vishnuvaradhan – Ambarish also eluded from the function showed a poor respect to the departed soul of Dr Vishnuvaradhan.

In the two and half an hour Silver Jubilee event both producer Krishna Prajwal and director P Vasu didn’t thank the media.

Producer Krishna Prajwal fumbled in his speech as he could not collect the words properly. P Vasu’s speech barring mention of the media was well drafted.

At the beginning of the silver jubilee event P Vasu, Basanthkumar Patil, Krishna Prajwal, Smt Nagarathna, Bangalore Mayor Nataraj, Srinivasamurthy, K Manju, Avinash, Gurukiran, Jayasri Devi, Sujatha, Vimala Raman, Rajesh, Komalkumar, Basha joined the lighting the lamp.

Dr Vishnuvaradhan’s life sketch was in the visual format. The entertainment program from Oxygen troupe, songs by Nandita and Ajay Wariar, Vishal Hegde dance to the songs of Dr Vishnuvaradhan followed one by one.
