The maiden attempt of Manas with multiple responsibilities of story, screenplay and direction besides playing the lead in ‘Sandalwood Guru’ (SG) in the music direction of James Architect and cameraman Santosh Kumar has released the audio album on Thursday evening.

Veteran director Joe Simon who released audio album welcomed the new hero and technician Manas who is the grandson of veteran cameraman MRK Murthy.

Lahari Recording proprietor Velu explained the astonishing news that out of 36 films the company had taken rights for the last one year of Kannada films, not even one is above the mark. Velu said the poor quality of music and lack of novel attempt are the reasons for disasters in the audio market for Kannada films.

Dr Cham Kumar, group director of Goodbye Honey and Spices, and Spencer Mathew are the joint producers of ‘Sandalwood Guru’. Sambrama Group Nagaraj has lent the locations for the film to shoot. This is the debut for music director James Architect.

Director cum actor Manas addressing the media after the audio release informed that he has made a new attempt in ‘Sandalwood Guru’ after a brief stint in documentaries, fashion shows and TV shows. How ‘Guru’ the mentor is related to Sandalwood is interesting part of the cinema he says.

Cameraman Santosh Kumar who worked in Ramananda Sagar camp from ‘Alif Laila’ television serials is coming back to films to wield the camera. Sathya an anchor in Raj TV is in the supporting role. Akshata Shetty is the female lead in 'Sandalwood Guru'.
