With a series of Kannada films released in the two and half months of 2010 falling like pack of cards in the box office this week we have two releases ‘Swayamvara’ and ‘Dildara’ hitting the screen all over Karnataka.

‘Swayamvara’ a remake of Hindi film ‘Mujse Shadi Karoge’ is produced by small time actor and financier Chandrasekhar in Sri Sai Combines. Ananthnaraju has altered a few portions of the original film to suit the nativity of Kannada cinema. Srinagara Kitty, Sharmila Mandre, Diganth are in the triangular love story. Thara, Omprakash Rao, Arun Sagar are also in the cast.

HC Venu has handled the camera and Manikanth Khadri has scored the music for ‘Swayamvara’.

‘Dildara’ by Kanasu Creators produced by Dhananjay Gowda is a pack from newcomers. Amar is making debut with newcomers Aman and Nisha Chengappa in the lead. Rangayana Raghu, Kishore, MN Lakshmi Devi, Biradar, Mico Nagaraj, Pranavmurthy, Vishwa, Kempegowda are also in the supporting cast. Ravikiran has handled the camera. Praveen D Rao has scored the music for the lyrics of V Manohar, Nagendra Prasad, Soorya and Puneeth Arya.
