Nayantara’s first film in Sandalwood had a perfect launch today with the pooja performed at Mahalakshmi temple in Seshadripuram.

Nayantara plays the heroine opposite Upendra and the film is called ‘Symbol’. The film is produced by Rockline Venkatesh. Upendra apart from acting will wield the megaphone also after a period almost 10 years.

The first schedule of the movie starts on January 17.

Kannada was the only south Indian language Nayantara has not forayed yet. Many attempts were made earlier to woo her to Kannada but all offers were turned down by her. Most recently she was tried for 'Kichaka' opposite Ravichandran.
