A major controversy of reputed director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar slapping actress Aindrita Ray on the sets of ‘Nooru Janmaku’ Kannada film at Hong Kong schedule has taken devious turns.

The accusations made by actress Aindrita Ray that director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar is a womanizer, he misbehaved with me, slapped twice on my face that resulted in emergency medical aid plus Nagathihalli’s surprising distasteful nature has spread like a wild fire on Thursday evening. Aindrita Ray has filed complaint to Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Kannada Cine Artists Association and to the Kannada Film Directors Association has put down the well built reputation of the ace director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar. He is unfit to be called as ‘Meshtru’(teacher) stated Aindrita Ray.

The incident took place on the last day of the 18-days schedule in China and Hong Kong that included two songs and the climax of ‘Nooru Janmaku’.

The 47 years old director of top films in Kannada Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar who is called as ‘Meshtru’ (teacher) a literary personality too is facing charges on his character and conduct for the first time. Aindrita Ray is a pampered girl. She is uttering lies to gain sympathy in the public. Every day she was coming late to the shoot and on the sets at Hong Kong shoot when 20 Chinese dancers are waiting for hours (who are paid 1000 dollars per hour) and the entire crew was eagerly looking for Aindrita Ray she turned up three hours late. He did not even say sorry for coming late. She goes to Casinos come late and obviously the day also begins late for her. This is not discipline. She cannot disrupt my concept in work. I have worked with artists like Suhasini, Thara, Suman Nagarkar but so far no complaint has come against my style of work. Cameraman Santosh Rai Pathaje, art director Shashidhar Adapa and make up man Phanish made a uniform statement that Aindrita Ray was coming late and not respecting the work and technicians.
