The two short of century Veerabhadrappa Arakere and 12 short of century Smt.Parvathamma play the main roles in ‘Anandagokula’ – a film on aged parents facing ordeals from family, society and the government. The life in the evening should be with peace of mind says director Nagendra Rao who is making debut as director after nearly 30 years as assistant and associate director in the big league directors.

There will be nearly 110 characters in this film ‘Anandagokula’ produced by Nagaraj and Ali John. Producer Nagaraj’s elder brother in laws are the 98 and 88 years age couple. The pain in the film of aged couple is narrated in comic style and it has all the ingredients of a commercial cinema says director Nagendra Rao.

The concept for this film is based on the book written by former minister BT Lalitha Naik. It is at the book release of ‘Kai Hididhu Nadesennana’ of Lalitha Naik director Nagendra Rao thought of making a film on aged citizens. Lalitha Naik is playing the role of a judge in the film.

The 98 years Veerabhadrappa addressing the media said he is happy to be a part of this film with his wife. Something good happens for the society I like it he said. Veerabhadrappa in his younger days was in to music and drama.

Rajan of ‘Rajan Nagendra’ fame duo music director is scoring the music. Ali John is a realtor producing the film with Nagaraj. According to producer Nagaraj ‘Old is Gold’.
