Floral tributes, film muhuruths, cassette release and day long singing of songs marked the birth anniversary of icon of Kannada cinema Dr.Rajakumar on April 24 in many parts of Karnataka. Dr.Rajakumar International Foundation is starting Rajakumar Rajyotsava award from this year.

A huge cake was cut at this place after the floral tributes at the Samadhi of Dr.Rajakumar at Kanteerava Studios. At the same venue the blood donation camp was held. Three sons of Dr.Rajkumar – Shivarajakumar, Raghavendra and Puneeth Rajakumar donated blood at this camp.

On the birth anniversary of Dr.Rajakumar 100 plus team members of the film 'Janma' that went on the floors on 24th morning signed papers to donate the eyes after death. 'Huttidare Kannada Nadalli Huttabeku' the beginning line of the most popular song of Dr.Rajkumar in which a film is made the audio cassette of the film was released by poet Sashi Marulaiah and Sugama Sangeeth leader former bureaucrat Y.K.Muddukrishna.

In the evening the muhurth stage is set for power star Puneeth Rajakumar's 'Raaj – The Showman' in the direction of hat trick director Prem for producers Suresh Gowda and Srinivasamurthy.
