Devraj is 'Mestru'

The permanent cop on Kannada screen dynamic hero Devaraj is playing the title role in 'Mestru' taken up director Mahadevu. 'Mestru' meaning a teacher is opposite to the career image of Devaraj. The lathi holding hands is now given a stick to control the students Devaraj disclosed laughing at the top of his voice.

The muhuruth of this film was held recently at Kanteerava studios. Senior cinema publicity officer Nagendra sounded the clap board for the first shot captured on Devaraj who liked the typical school teacher of a corporation school.

Incidentally the story revolves around a corporation school teacher. It dates back to late 70's says director Mahadevu. A school teacher returning home traces a rowdy torturing a citizen in the then Hosahalli (now it is Vijayanagar) colony. The teacher tames the rowdy and in doing so some developments also creep in. That is the subject of this film informed Mahadevu who is shooting in three schedules for this film. He is planning to shoot at Hindalga prison for a few days.

Bhanupriya is playing counterpart to Devaraj. The rabble rouser is played by Mansoor Ali Khan of Tamil films. Dilip Pai is assisting Devaraj in finishing his tasks.

K.M.Indra has scored music for six songs. One of the songs written is on the significance of the zero number.
