The high voltage action hero and dialogue king Saikumar has signed his 50th film in Kannada 'The Citizen'. Saikumar a child actor turned dubbing artist, villain and then hero in his career made a strong foothold for police officer roles from 'Police Story' in Kannada way back in 1995. Even today he is recognized for his firing dialogues. Saikumar has completed 40 plus films as hero in Telugu and 100 plus as child actor and second fiddle before becoming hero.

Highly educated with double degree and M.Phil Saikumar's 'The Citizen' went on the floor on Republic Day at Kanteerava studios. This is a hat trick for Saikumar as his earlier two top films 'Police Story and Central Jail' went on the floor on the same date in the previous years.

For the success in my career I owe to Kannada film industry. It is because of 'Police Story' Saikumar is in circulation today. In the film 'The Citizen' he is showcasing the rights of the citizens of this country. He also plays a cop fighting against various issues.

The muhurth of the film 'The Citizen' was flagged off by TTD Chairman Bhoomana Karunakara Reddy. Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar lighted the lamp, Janardhana Reddy switched on the camera while Raghavendra Rajakumar directed the first shot.
