Mr Cheran the successful director and actor of Tamil films who became very popular after 'Autograph' Tamil film was honored in Bangalore by actor cum director Sudeep at Sarovar Hotel on Saturday evening.
Sudeep invited the author of 'Autograph' Cheran to Bangalore to extend a felicitation because of the success of his Kannada remake 'My Autograph'.
Addressing the gathering Mr Cheran said he is happy with the treatment of his film by Sudeep in his debut. He has selected the right locations and artistes have done very well. I was not happy from Telugu version of 'Autograph' but Kannada version has come out well. After seeing the Kannada version in Chennai I told Sudeep that it would be a definite hit. It has happened so said Cheran speaking in Tamil. Sudeep has brought in the culture required for the film. Any film for that matter has to contain the native fragrance and atmosphere in it. Sudeep in his debut direction has worked very well. His involvement is there in the film. It is not easy to reproduce a hit film in other language. But Sudeep has given the feel lauded Cheran.
In his thanks giving address Sudeep appreciated the simplicity of Cheran. In his career 'My Autograph' is like coming back from 'Vanvas' after 'Huchcha' opined Sudeep. He thanked the media, his team and the viewers of the film for giving the support. Today the film 'My Autograph' is a successful one. The repeated audiences are coming. The reason why I picked among so many remakes in front of me is that this film is touching. I take the credit of 50 percent for this success and give the rest to Cheran disclosed Sudeep in his address.
