Amritsar girl Bhanusri Mehra makes her first appearance in Kannada cinema Deal Raja` opposite Komal Kumar very popular actor and producer.

Bhanu Sri was seen at the muhurut of the film at Sri Omkareshwara Temple situated at Uttarahalli on Bangalore outskirts on Monday. She faced the camera with Komal Kumar and co artist Iti Acharya in the direction of Raj Gopi Surya.

Bhanu comes from a Punjabi family settled in Amritsar. She did her schooling from Dehradun, followed by a degree course in Mass Media from Sophia College in Mumbai.

It is Varudu of Gunashekhar that brought fame for this actress. Allu Arjun and Arnya featured in Varudu`. Ding Dong Bell, Prematho Cheppana, Chilkur Balaji It was a cameo in Hindi Bachana E Haseeno`, Fer Mamla Gadbad, Oh My Pyo films in Punjabi, Udhayan` in Tamil continued in Bhanusri career. Settled in Mumbai Bhanusri feels south is a good platform to prove mettle in acting.

In her first Kannada film Deal Raja` Bhanusri plays a lady constable in a police station. It is fun to play this kind of role. There is some arrogance besides love interest that develops in second half says Bhanusri.
