A pretty actress with good academic qualification Kavya Shetty is a dream chaser in this business of entertainment. With two films in Kannada the offers came looking for this bubbly actress in other languages.

On her careering heading for a big leap in Tamil cinema Kavya Shetty in an interview spoke to indiaglitz.com, Bangalore at length.

Here are the excerpts:

How best you can describe yourself.

I am big dreamer, a believer and fun loving.

A brief introduction to your family….

My father is a professor for senior college and mom a housewife a retired bank office

How was your upbringing till you entered tinsel town?

Very normal life in Mangalore and my parents still live in Mangalore and I was born and bought in Mangalore till I finished my engineering in computers.

Acting is by choice or by studious approach.

It is by choice for me and started modeling as a passion now turned out to be a profession later.

A young and bubbly actress, have you set any goals?

I have no such goals and I believe in god. I will always try hard to do well

All youngsters have fascination towards cinema field. How this fascination should succeed.

Yes I`m sure all have big dreams but along with hard work and dedication luck shud also be on your side in this industry

The films on hand and variety of roles you have done so far.

In Kannada I am shooting for Vijayaditya` opposite Dhananjay, in Tamil movie with Vikram Prabhu director is Vijayavam in Tamil is atpost production, Natadu in Telugu opposite Navdeep due to release. I am playing a glam role with a tinge of negative shade in Vijayaditya` but in my Tamil and Telugu it is a simple girl next door role

Off late the issue of Commitment` heroines should make with producers is discussed. What is your opinion? This is happening for young heroines.

It`s very sad if it`s happening ...luckily I have not experienced it so I cannot comment about it much

With Money, fame and comfort at your side, what else is needed in life?

People who will always be by your side in all times ups and downs other than your family

What really lacking in our Kannada cinema industry.

The need of more acceptance and appreciation of all kind of movies not just commercial, also encouragement for new comers should happen more.
