One of the tragic queens of Kannada cinema Minugu Thaare` Kalpana screen image is enacted by noted actress of over 125 films Shruthi in the film Ondh Chance Kodi`.

Actress Shruthi proudly described that playing one of the top heroine role is also a tribute to legendary Kalpana. She was speaking at the audio release of Kannada film Ondh Chance Kodi`.

Shruthi thanked producer Sunil Kumar and director Sathyamithra for one chance given to her to perform what yesteryears Kalpana had done. Shruthi was extremely happy because it is not a tear jerker role that she is fed up off. She has laughed immensely at the time of dubbing for this film role.

Apparently the actress who is no more Kalpana` is in news for a film made by Pooja Gandhi titled as Abhinetri`. This film is also based on life sketch of late actress Kalpana. The contents of this film is found in the book claims author Smt Bhagya Krishnamurthy. On a case filed by writer Bhagya Krishnamurthy that the film contents of Abhinetri` are replica of her novel Abhinetri Antaranga` and no prior permission was acquired the 10th city civil court has put a stay order.

Pooja Gandhi in her maiden production Abhinetri` receiving star order stepped to High Court of Karnataka that has permitted for completion of the shooting of the film.
