Aarti Chabria to represent India in USA

Having won millions of hearts recently on TV with her participation in popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Ja, actress Aarti Chabria is now on cloud 9 as she has been invited to for the Independence Day celebrations in New York, USA.

Aarti had been invited as the "Grand Marshall" for August 11th and hoist the Indian tricolour on August 15th, 2013. for the event and feels this is a huge honour as she is a true patriot and it gives her immense pleasure and honour to be chosen to be the Grand Marshall

USA has a huge Indian population and having been a winner for an earlier reality show and now on Jhalak, Aarti has a huge fan following there as well. Remarked a delighted Aarti, "As actors we do a lot of events be it endorsements, fashion shows, photoshoots etc but some are done for professional reasons and some are to tap PR opportunities. But this one’s straight from the heart and it’s rare you get a chance like this. The best part is it’s my dad’s birthday on August 15th and my entire family will be with me in US to experience this proud moment."

Besides considering it to be a huge honour to be chosen for such an occasion, for Aarti its more than just being part of the celebration. "I will take this opportunity to represent the cause and turmoil of those thousands of people in Uttarakhand and will create awareness for the same," stated the Khatron Ke Khiladi winner.

Incidentally, Aarti has recently completed a course in direction from New York, USA recently and this event will hence be full of nostalgia for the actor. Aarti will also be meeting some filmmakers in New York who are planning to cast her. The actor recently wrapped up shoot for her first Punjabi Film "Viyah 70 km".
