Director Sargunam has started on his next, 'Nayyandi', with Dhanush and Nazriya in the leads. The film has been set up in the backdrops of village and the team has been currently shooting in Mannarkudi. While the shooting has been pacing well, an incident has put the entire team into depression. Two junior artistes Viji and Saraswathi has been drowned to their death when they went for a swim in a nearby village pond.

The reported news is that, 3 junior artistes, Viji, Saraswathi and Sukanya had gone to the nearby village for a swim in a pond. Since Viji and Saraswathi had no previous experience in swimming, the two were sadly fallen prey to the pond's thirst. Sukanya, who had some experience in swimming was saved by the villagers. The death of these girls has really come as a great shock for the team and their families. It has been reported that Viji and Saraswathi are 21 and 24 years of age respectively. It has also been reported that Sukanya is currently undergoing a treatment in hospital.
