Directed by Seeman, Valthukkal stars Madhavan and Bhavna in the leads. The film dubbed into Telugu will be released as Prema Nilayam in September, by SV Maheshwara Reddy. The filmsees director Venkat Prabhu in a comedy role. Ajith has played a cameo.

The makers say that the film discusses the conflicting pulls and demands of love and family. Deriving its strength from sentiment, this family and romantic drama is on the lines of Bommarillu yet different in narration. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the musician.

The audio released recently has been getting good response. Co-producer Bharathi Ganesh said, "We are sure that this film which was a hit with the Tamil audience will be liked by the Telugus as well."

Prema Nilayam has cinematography by PL Sanjay. Editing is by K Pazhanivel. It was released in Tamil in the year 2008. The film will be released in August.
