The expensive film in Kannada to release 'God Father' a remake of 2006 Ajith starring Tamil film 'Varalaru' is hitting in a big way. Super star Upendra has taken his second triple role in the career. 'God Father' is in the direction and cinematography of topnotch S Sriram. K Manju one of the mammoth films is distributed all over Karnataka in nearly 120 theatres by Prasad in Narasimha Enterprises. Another prominent exhibitor N Kumar is attached to the exhibition of the film.
As mark of respect for the legendary AR Rahman who is the music director of 'God Father' Ashwini Media Network Limited Prasad distributor of the film is issuing five lakhs free audio CD of 'God Father' at the ticket counters all over Karnataka for first three days.
The film in high budget with very good star cast and high technical values in it is special for Soundaraya Jayamala who is making debut as heroine. The film has high hopes because of the stalwart of India AR Rahman scoring music for Kannada film for the first time. He has seven tunes in which two are fresh and rest is from the original Tamil film for which he has done the music.
Bhumika Chawla gives her appearance for the first time in Kannada. Beautiful Catherine, Shwetha, Avinash, Sudha Belawadi and others are in the cast. Imran Sardaria and Shivakumar have handled the choreography.
'Gowri Puthra' is also said to be a remake of Tamil film 'Raman Thediya Seethai' for which Jagan has done the story. Director Manju Maskalmatti has acquired the story rights and produced this film with Akshay and five heroines. Nikita Tukral, Roopika, Nivedhita, Sowmya Sankalp, Manasi are the heroines. Nagashekhar, Sihikahi Geetha, Malathi Sardeshpande are in the supporting cast.
The second film to hit on 'Varamahalakshmi festival' Gowri Puthra has music from Milind Dharmasena and cinematography from PL Ravi.
