After earning a ban on television from Information and Broadcasting (I&B) ministry, Balaji Productions The Dirty Picture underwent special editing.
Earlier in April, I&B banned The Dirty Picture from screening on television at prime time, as the authorities felt that the films content was too bold for family viewing and so they had allotted the post 11pm slot for the film.
However the makers were not happy with the decision and approached the Central Board of Film Certification.
Following the Boards suggestion, the makers of The Dirty Picture deleted several scenes which seemed to have been unsuitable according to I&B.
It is said that for the television screening the film underwent 59 cuts, resulting totally 3min and 10secs of editing.
Finally now, The Dirty Picture is all set to go on-air at prime time... Ooh La La!!
